Getting in the Christmas Spirit!

We've had some fun the past few weekends getting ready for Christmas. Grace loved the Christmas Parade (as you can see). She was thrilled to see "Gunch" aka the Grinch.

Santa Land was also a big hit! She went down the 30ft slide without a flinch. She was not quite as brave with Santa however. When she first saw him her eyes got huge and she quietly and excitedly said, "Hi Santa," then she proceeded to scream while hiding behind my back. Later when we had the chance to sit on Santa's lap for a photo, it was not happening! This year my Santa picture includes Andrew only.

Thanksgiving...

We had a lovely Thanksgiving this year. We have so much to be thankful for... our families, health, home, faith, job, and our beautiful babies!

Ahhh Grace...

Here is Grace all dressed and ready to pick out our Christmas Tree! There's a nice tree farm up near us that allows you to tag a tree early and cut it later. Grace did not want to go without her pumpkin and kitty outfit! Choose your battles right?

After Isaac's 2nd birthday party, Grace was pretty into singing Happy Boytday!

First Smile!

I caught my little man's first smile on camera. It was precious!!!

Sports at the Kelly's!

Our children don't really get much of a choice when it comes to loving sports! And our house was pretty excited about the Yankees winning the World Series!

Grace's new jersey!

Grace is pretty pumped about her new Farve jersey from Bumpa and Mema. I have to tell her it's dirty so she'll wear something besides it! She also got a new Care Bears movie which she lovingly calls "Teddies."

Andrew's 1 month old!

It's amazing how time is moving along! As you can see he was not very happy about having his picture taken, so at one month old... we love the pacifier!

Halloween 2009!!!

This was our best Halloween ever! Both Rick and I said, "It's more fun watching your children experience it than it was when we were young and going through it!" Grace was a little kitty cat since she does the perfect "meow" and Andrew was a skeleton (who slept the whole time we trick-or-treated). It turned out to be a nice evening and we got out in between rain showers. We were so proud of Grace. The first house she was a bit apprehensive, but by the third she was running with Auntie Erica to the front door!

Growing, growing...

We went to the Dr today and little Andrew is already up to 9lbs 2oz and 20.5 inches. It's amazing how proud you are when your baby grows and poops and eats! I guess that's all they're supposed to do right now anyhow! Our transition has gone very well thus far. Andrew is a really good baby and has even been allowing me to sleep pretty well at night. We are so in love with our newest family member!

WELCOME BABY ANDREW!!!

Baby Andrew joined our family on Monday October 12th at 5:17AM. He was 8lb9oz and 20 inches long. My first contraction came at about 10PM, we were at the hospital around 2AM and 3 short hours later, there he was!!! What a difference from my first labor experience! He is the complete opposite of his big sister. His long dark hair was a shock to us all! I guess that's why I had all that heart burn! He has been such a joy and easy as can be so far! He is very laid back and patient. He's as perfect as can be!
Grace could not be anymore proud or happy. She loves her baby brother and wants to be involved all the time. She likes to hold him and helps Mommy burp him after he's done eating. Today I told her that "Baby Andrew has to eat now." She looked at me and said, "He needs more boobies." Gotta love the honesty of a 2 year old. We are so thankful to God for this perfect little boy. What an amazing gift these children are.

Grace had enough of the hospital. This is how she went home. She did have a beautiful dress on over the white onesie and tights, but when a 2 year old is done, they're done. No arguing!

Apple Picking...

We went apple picking on Sunday the 11th. Grace had a great time with Mommy, Mema, and Auntie Ca Ca. This was our last big outing before baby Andrew was born. Perhaps it was the tractor ride that shook him loose!

Oh to be 2...

I wanted to capture this sleeping baby while she still is one!

a tribute to Meme's hippie days!

Goodbye Summer...

We celebrated the last day of summer with a fun day at the beach.... Grace, Isaac, Caleb, Alexandra, Catherine, Maddie and Sydney along with Mommies, Beth, Ali, Jenn and Erica.

Grace has been
"practicing" with poor baby Caleb.
He puts up with her just like his big brother!

Maine 2009

In the second week of September we were graciously invited to spend a few nights up in Maine with our friends Steve, Ali, Will and Beth along with their girls. We had a blast just playing at the park, having tubbies, shopping, eating, and as you can see, Rick got in some good relax time as well! The girls played together great and we also learned that Grace is not contained in a pack-and-play any longer! Thanks again for a wonderful getaway!
