Oh Christmas Tree...

9 Months!!!

I can not believe that I'm writing about my nine month old!! Time really does fly by. Well as you can see in this picture 9 Months was the biggest transition yet! Grace decided that 9 months was her cue and decided on her very own to just sleep through the night!!! Who would have guessed that? We went from one night getting up 3-4 times and one of those for two hours, to I'm going to fuss for 2 minutes and go back to sleep and sleep 13 hours! Thank the Lord, Mommy was near losing her mind (and Daddy too). So with the great sleep came a not so great clingy stage. Also very sudden. Mommy could not put Grace down. Even if we were on the floor playing together and she was touching my leg, that was not close enough. Well the severity of this stage passed within 3 days. She's still a bit clingy, but not like that. Grace still doesn't crawl, she does the butt scooch. She has even managed to get to the Christmas tree and pull down 2 ornaments. Since she doesn't move fast and often, I actually found the Christmas tree thing to be cute. I'm sure next year it will not be so "cute". We've tried various different foods, but Mommy has decided to stop throwing her money into the trash can and just continue with the good old cereal and vegetables, still the favorite! Grace has a few tricks: clapping, "So Big", kisses, dancing, the dragon noise (rahhh), peek-a-boo, and she will scoot over towards a drawer if there's one in sight and open it up, stick her little fingers inside to pull out anything she can get to, she also likes to chew on the drawer??? I guess that's all I can think of for now. Before I know it I'll be posting again....

Grace is a traveling girl!

Sorry it's been so long. We've had a crazy couple of weeks! Here's a timeline...

November 26th... Mommy takes Grace to the doctor... Her first ear infection, Mommy feels awful!!

November 28th... Call the Doctor, Make sure it's OK to travel with Grace...Got the OK

November 29th... Leave for Minnesota

December 3rd... Big snowstorm in NH, our flights were postponed until tomorrow

December 4th... Leave Minnesota for home

December 5-6... Get ready to leave again, go back to the doctor, All Clear, Grace just doesn't like to sleep at night!

December 7th... Leave for Florida

December 14th... Come back home to the cold and snow and here we are. Grace sleeps actually through the night for the very first time. I think she knew this was it. I was really putting my foot down since she was turning 9 months tomorrow and sure enough the little monkey did it on her own. She slept from 6:30-6:30! Praise the Lord!!!

December 15th... Grace is 9 Months old! This night she slept from 7-7!!!! Anyhow... Here are some pics from out Minnesota trip. We had such a great visit! We did the Ryan Christmas, a baptism for Grace and we got to see Santa!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving! All night Rick has been saying, "That was the best Thanksgiving meal I ever had!" It was outstanding. We went to Pete and Pauline's. Matt, Faith, Meme, Papa, and Uncle Jimmy joined us. What a special Thanksgiving... to share this day with our beautiful baby was truely a blessing. This year we have much to be thankful for! God bless all of you reading this and we hope you had a blessed holiday!

8 Months Old...

Grace is 8 months old today. She has really started to change in the last few days. More and more we can see that she understands us. She will clap on cue, give kisses, play peek-a-boo, and she is now learning to whine...especially when Mommy is around. She does not like to have other people care for her in the night. We tried a few days ago to go out to dinner and little miss pumpkin head cried for the entire hour we were gone. Sorry Papa and Meme. She has two little teeth in the bottom and is still eating mostly cereal and vegetables. She also likes to eat bananas and have a bottle with water in it (mostly to play with). Her sleeping is pretty much the same, two naps a day and a twelve hour stretch at night (with 1-2 wakings of course). Her hair is starting to fill in more everyday. She is also quite a talker. She is not really crawling, OK not crawling, but she does get around pretty good by scooting on her butt in a sitting position. She may be one of those bum crawlers. No rush though! She loves books, they are her preferred toy. She also loves to listen to music and "sing" while dancing (swaying back and forth). She truely brings more joy to our lives than we would have ever imagined. We thank God for her everyday!

Isaac is 4 days old!

Welcome Baby Isaac!!!

Baby Isaac Donald was born on November 1st at 10:16 AM. He was 8lbs and 21 inches long! Both Mommy and Baby are doing great! Outstanding in fact! Congratulations Erica and Gary on this new amazing journey in your life. May God continue to pour out his blessings on your family! We love you!

Grace's first Halloween was a very fun one. We went to a pizza party at Giuseppes and then headed out to trick or treat. We only made it to one house though, because by that time this pumpkin was ready to go to bed. We had so much fun with our little pumpkin though. It's amazing the new amounts of joy these little creatures bring into your life! Thank you Aunty Noodle, she was adorable!!

Today Grace and I went to Mom to Mom. We love it! Grace gets to play with her friends and Mommy gets to learn and talk with hers! Grace did the best she's ever done there today, I was so proud! She sat in the nursery, playing with her toys and watching the other kids almost the whole time. Amazing what things make you beam with pride when you become a parent!!
