Cousins & Storyland...

In July we had a great visit with our cousins, Alicia and Carl Jr.  We went out to dinner, the kids played together super well and truely enjoyed each other's company.  Pretty good for their first time meeting!

STORYLAND 2010

We went to Storyland with Papa and Meme in July.  We had a great day with Matt, Faith, Grace, and Andrew.  They kids were perfect the entire day.  They went on almost every ride, got treats from Papa of course, watched a fun circus and even got Papa to go on a ride!

9 months!

At 9 months Andrew loves:

-feeding himself (bananas, peaches, bread, puffs, cooked veggies, grass and handful's of sand at the beach)

-the water (he thinks he's a turtle that needs to leave the beach when the waves come in)

-crawling around (he still does his left armed army crawl and he has a sore on his right foot where he pushes himself along)

-Mama (which he now says when he really needs something)

-Roxy and Grace (he tries to keep up as they run through the house)

-Daddy (he will grab daddy's face and give him big open mouthed kisses!!!)

He is now sleeping from about 7pm-7am, getting up only once around 4and he still takes two naps. His hair continues to grow.  It's so think that when it gets hot, I lift it up and blow on his neck and scalp.  He smiles and laughs because he enjoys it so much.  He's eating three full meals along with a snack in the afternoon and nursing about 4-5 times a day.  He still is not great at sitting as he never ever stays still long enough to hang out in one spot.  He can do a full sit up though from laying flat on his back.  He did about 7 the other day in the stroller, too funny! He is so easy going and such a joy to have around. Everyone adores him. We are so thankful for our son.  We love you Andrew!

Swimming Lessons 2010...

Grace started swimming lessons at the town beach. Her teachers are Lizzy and Melissa and they are amazing!  She is having such a blast.  We go every morning from 11:30-12 for three weeks.  Since they have been such a hit, we may also go to the second session just for fun.  They do their little jog and some stretches before they get in the water... too cute.  Her latest trick is getting the ring in the water. They also went out to the big raft earlier this week and Grace was very brave and jumped into the water to her teacher.  She told me when she came back, "I was kinda scared Mom."  I told her she was very brave and I was proud. Now everytime she's with her friends I hear them singing, "motor boat, motor boat, motor boat, motor boat...."

Andrew's first Ocean Trip...

We went to the ocean with our pals, Erica, Isaac, Caleb, Ali, Maddie, and Sydney.  We had the most perfect weather and the kids had a blast!!! At one point in the day Grace was just running in circles on the sand, she was so excited.  And of course, she was in the water most of the day until her lips were actually purple! My little man enjoyed his day too, mostly just trying to eat mouthfuls of sand!

Some Firsts...

Grace is all ready for her first day of summer camp. She went to camp at the gym for three days. She had a blast swimming in the pool, doing crafts, having snacks, playing games and making new friends! Growing up too fast!

Andrew is my little fishy number 2!!! This was his first time in the pool.  I got this little one all ready for him with nice warm water from the sink.  Being that he doesn't like to sit though, this pool did not work for long.  He just tried to eat rocks from the ground and crawl out. 

He also kept doing his best beach pose for us...hillarious!

...so we had to upgrade! He loved it!  The big pool was freezing, filled with hose water, but it didn't bother him a bit.  I've found out that he loves the lake as well. 

Summer has started!

We enjoyed our first beach day with Uncle's Cal and Tim.  Grace seemed oblivious to the fact that it was mid-May and the water is freezing.  She swam for about 3 hours!

Andrew enjoyed his day at the beach.  He is not going to be as easy as I thought.  He stays on the blanket for about 3 seconds then he's off to shove fist fulls of sand in his mouth.

We went out Memorial Day weekend with Papa and Meme on the boat.  Both kids were great!  Grace was very concerned after Rick's hat blew into the water.  She is still asking me about it.  She is convinced that a fishy is wearing it swimming around. 

Summer afternoons are great for napping!
