MOTHER'S DAY 2010

Mother's day is probably the most special holiday to me now.  I am so thankful for the gift that my children are to me.  I know that God chose both of them special just for Rick and I and it's amazing the love we have for them.  It may not always seem it, but I am so humbled and thankful every single day, that God chose me to be a Mom.

I know she won't always look at me this way, so this picture is priceless to me!

Papa and Meme came by on Mother's Day and allowed Rick and I to go out and pick out flowers for the house (my mother's day gift).  I guess Andrew got tired watching the game with Papa, so he settled himself in for a little cat nap.  How precious is he?

Andrew's 1st Visit to Bumpa and Mema's...

Andrew has very quickly learned that he would rather feed himself than have me feed him....
here's what it looks like!

Our first visit went very well.  Auntie Erica traveled to MN with us for our first airplane ride (Rick had to stay home to work).  We took the early flight out so we arrived by 10:30AM, layover and all.  I do have to say that by the time we landed, this Mama was pretty done and so was Erica.  But it was well worth it.  We had a great time visiting, going to the park, playing with the daycare kids, and the best part of course... the ZOO!  This was Grace's first trip to the Zoo and she had a blast.  She is still asking me if we can go on the airplane and go to the Zoo again.  This was the first time Grace didn't sleep in the room with me while we were away.  She slept on her own special bed in Bumpa and Mema's room.  They got to enjoy the delightful sleeping habits of my daughter.  And true to form, Andrew didn't sleep much either.  I don't know why my kids don't like to sleep????  After an all too short visit we headed back home, alone this time.  The kids did awesome.  I guess I knew better what worked and what didn't.  We are official travelers now!
Grace was all ready to go to the zoo.  She stood out in the garage asking if it was time to go for about an hour.  People were still sleeping when she was all dressed and ready to head out!
Thanks for a fun trip Bumpa and Mema!  See you soon!

Spring Time!

Spring has been absolutely beautiful this year...
We have not had the rain like last year, but when we do Grace loves to get out in it!
Andrew was laying on the floor one night while I made dinner.  I guess he just had enough because I looked over to check on him and he had fallen asleep!  That never happened the first time around!

EASTER 2010

Easter was gorgeous this year.  I think it was the first year that I remember that we could wear Easter dresses without turtlenecks, wool tights, and a sweater.  We had a really great day.... the Easter Bunny came in the morning and left eggs outside, then we went to Easter service at church, and met up with the family for Easter dinner at the Homestead, followed by dessert at Auntie Pauline's.

Happy St. Patty's Day!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Grace!

Grace frosting her birthday cake! I asked her what kind of cake she wanted and she told me a brown and pink and green one with sprinkles...so that's what we made!

So excited to open her presents...
Grace LOVES her new guitar.  It's all she asked for for her birthday.... a pink guitar.

Catching Up...

Rox is great with the kids...

My happy boy...

Uncle Timmy came for a visit over spring break.  We had lots of fun going outside,
going to Funspot, and Grace even got a new tee ball set.
